Edith, a conservative local resident of Littlehampton, along with other townspeople, starts receiving letters filled with comical obscenities. The blame for this mischievous act is placed on Rose, an Irish migrant known for her rowdy behavior. However, the women of the town have their doubts and suspect that there might be more to the situation.
