Hank Thompson, a former school baseball star who can no longer play, is enjoying life with his girlfriend while working as a bartender in a New York dive bar. His favorite team unexpectedly starts winning in the championship. When his neighbor Russ asks him to take care of a cat for a few days, Hank gets pulled into a wild adventure involving different gangster groups who all seem to want something from him, although he's not sure what. In order to survive and unravel the mystery, Hank must use all his wits and skills to outsmart his enemies.
