Joy graduated from school recently — and now dreams only of escaping from the town in which lives. She considers that here at her isn't present and there can be no future — neither in career, nor in private life. Mother advises Joy to go to army: so it will be able to leave the city, to look at the world and to save up money for college. The girl submits the application to a military registration and enlistment office — and right there falls in love in improbable to Rein which has two children and the husband trucker.
