Following the passing of his mother, 17-year-old Joshua Cody relocates to his extended family in a coastal town in Southern California. The household is overseen by Joshua's grandmother, Janine Cody, with the eldest Cody brother, Pope, serving as her main aide. The rest of the brothers pitch in to assist their mother whenever possible. Before long, Joshua discovers that the family's operations are intertwined with criminal activities, and he finds himself unknowingly immersed in this dangerous new world.
