In a future not too distant, human consciousness can be transferred into virtual reality. Nora Anthony is employed as a customer service representative at the upscale virtual hotel "Lakeview", where the wealthy can live on after death. When Nathan Brown, a young developer from Los Angeles who died in a tragic accident, finds himself in "Lakeview", Nora becomes his guide, assisting him in adjusting to this digital afterlife. As Nathan begins to see the flaws in this supposed paradise, Nora strives to aid him and eventually discovers evidence suggesting Nathan's death was not a mere accident.
